About Wayne

Wayne Haber has spent 30+ years believing that great software is really a people challenge. As a servant leader and engineering executive at companies like Secureworks, GitLab, and FloQast, he’s built teams from scratch, shipped Agentic AI-driven products, and helped engineers grow in their careers. He holds three US patents, speaks at industry events and in podcasts, and shares hard-won lessons for anyone trying to lead with purpose and build something worth building.

FloQast (2024–2026) — Devised the SaaS architecture and led the engineering organization to deliver the company’s first Agentic AI-driven accounting data transformation and automation service. Drove the adoption of modern AI technologies, including LangGraph and Claude Code. Partnered with co-founders and represented the company with key customers and prospects.

GitLab (2019–2024) — Led globally distributed engineering teams delivering customer-facing security and growth features via cross-functional executive collaboration. Launched the company’s first AI features. Drove a platform-wide initiative that reduced abuse by bad actors more than 90%. Mentored engineers and engineering leaders across the company in various ways, including an innovative shadow program.

Secureworks (2003–2019) — Original member of the executive team that guided Secureworks from a single-product startup to a NASDAQ-listed company. Expanded the product portfolio from one to more than ten services, including vulnerability discovery and endpoint security. Scaled the platform 1000X in capacity. Authored three patents in internet security and performance optimization.

Prior Roles — Led technology companies serving the legal, healthcare, and financial industries.
