Mission Accomplished – First Mobile App

A couple of years back, I set a goal for myself: learn Flutter, build something real, get it approved by Apple, and see if anyone would actually download it.

The app is called Super Simple Sunrise Sunset. It does exactly what the name says. You open it, and it tells you when the sun rises and sets in your location. No ads, no accounts, no notifications asking you to rate it every thirty seconds. Just the information, cleanly presented. I built it in my spare time while learning Flutter from scratch, fought my way through Apple’s review process, and got it listed.

Honestly, the download count and reviews were never really the point. What I was after was proof that I could still sit down, learn something new end-to-end, and ship it. I pick a learning project like this every year or two. Some of them see the light of day, some don’t. This one did, and that felt good.

A few hundred downloads. Five reviews, all positive. Goal met.
